Coloradoan: Fort Collins joins statewide climate action group

The Coloradoan reports that Fort Collins is part of the newly formed CC4CA:

The group is a natural fit for Fort Collins, which is pursuing goals to slash greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent of 2005 levels by 2020 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

“Fort Collins has some of the nation’s most ambitious greenhouse gas reduction goals in the county, and we will be more successful as a region with state and federal support,” said Jackie Kozak Thiel, chief sustainability officer for the city of Fort Collins. “We can make a difference to build resiliency in our communities if we collaborate to align action and policies, as well as share best practices with other jurisdictions and learn from each other.”
